The proximity to our customers enables us to adapt flexibly to the needs and individual requirements of our clients,” emphasises Wieprich. The workshop’s services range from the protection of multi-voltage vehicle electrical systems and software and hardware integration to the conversion of prototypes or even just subsystems, depending on the order. This is just an excerpt from the wide range of services offered by the development workshop. <\/strong>The starting signal for the workshop upgrade was given by large orders from an OEM, which required the workshop capacities to be expanded. The team leader explains, “The project descriptions include the assembly of measurement technology and mechanical retrofitting. Flashing control units on the vehicle is also a key component.” The development workshop will also be focussing on the high-voltage sector in the future, as customers also want to position this topic at MVI AUTOMOTIVE. The workshop will now be working at full capacity for many years. A large number of vehicles from the car manufacturer have to be inspected within a certain period of time. The expansion was essential for this.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>“In order to meet the increased performance requirements, we installed seven additional column lifts in record time. Compared to previously used scissor lifts, these offer free access to the sides and wheels, making various work processes easier,” explains Wieprich. All of the OEM’s new vehicles, from small cars to large luxury saloons, can be lifted and all vehicle inspections can be carried out reliably. A 4-post lift with a state-of-the-art wheel alignment system has already been installed, which guarantees the exact accuracy of the measurement data and is even suitable for vehicles weighing four and a half tonnes. For example, armoured vehicles such as those belonging to high-ranking politicians, but also other people who require special protection, can be processed here. “We’ve already had these heavyweight cars in our workshop many times,” smiles Wieprich. MVI AUTOMOTIVE is aiming to further expand capacity in the hall by the end of 2024. “The entire conversion of the workshop required not only technical, but also logistical and organisational excellence,” emphasises the team leader. “In addition, we are gradually expanding the team, consisting of car mechanics and master mechanics as well as other technical specialists. In the coming year, at least ten more people will be hired in order to fully utilise capacity.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>“When taking on new customer projects, sometimes with new employees, it is essential to ensure intensive familiarisation so that our team understands the customer’s processes, their issues and the development work behind them,” Wieprich explains. It is therefore particularly important to familiarise employees with the customer’s new development tools and measuring systems in detail. “Prototypes and new vehicles are always equipped with a lot of innovative implementations, so knowledge needs to be imparted on an ongoing basis,” adds the workshop expert.<\/p>\nDo you have any questions or would you like more information on this topic? <\/strong>Der Startschuss f\u00fcr die Werkstatthochr\u00fcstung erfolgte durch Gro\u00dfauftr\u00e4ge eines OEMs, die es erforderten, die Werkstattkapazit\u00e4ten zu erweitern. Der Teamleiter erkl\u00e4rt, \u201edie Projektbeschreibungen umfassen die Konfektionierung von Messtechnik und die mechanische Umr\u00fcstung. Das Flashen von Steuerger\u00e4ten am Fahrzeug ist auch ein wesentlicher Bestandteil.\u201c Zudem werde sich die Entwicklungswerkstatt zuk\u00fcnftig auf den Hochvoltbereich ausrichten, denn auch dieses Thema m\u00f6chten Kunden bei MVI AUTOMOTIVE positionieren. Die Werkstatt wird nun langj\u00e4hrig mit den Aufgaben ausgelastet sein. Eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl von Fahrzeugen des Automobilherstellers m\u00fcssen dazu in einer bestimmten Zeitspanne ins Visier genommen werden. Der Ausbau war dazu unerl\u00e4sslich.<\/p>
<\/strong>\u201eUm die gestiegenen Leistungsanforderungen bedienen zu k\u00f6nnen, haben wir in Rekordzeit sieben weitere S\u00e4ulenhebeb\u00fchnen installiert. Im Vergleich zu bisher genutzten Scherenhebeb\u00fchnen bieten diese einen freien Zugang zu den Seiten und den R\u00e4dern, erleichtern somit verschiedene Arbeitsvorg\u00e4nge\u201c, er\u00f6rtert Wieprich. Alle Neufahrzeuge des OEMs von Kleinwagen bis zur Luxus-Gro\u00dflimousine k\u00f6nnen gehoben und alle Untersuchungen am Fahrzeug zuverl\u00e4ssig durchgef\u00fchrt werden. Eine 4-S\u00e4ulenhebeb\u00fchne mit hochmoderner Achsenmessanlage wurde bereits verbaut, die eine exakte Genauigkeit der Messdaten gew\u00e4hrleistet und sogar f\u00fcr viereinhalb Tonnen schwere Fahrzeuge geeignet ist. Hier k\u00f6nnen zum Beispiel gepanzerte Fahrzeuge, wie die von hohen Politikern, aber auch anderen Personen, die besonderen Schutz ben\u00f6tigen, bearbeitet werden. \u201eDiese schwergewichtigen Automobile hatten wir bereits des \u00d6fteren in unserer Werkstatt\u201c, schmunzelt Wieprich. Bis Ende 2024 strebt MVI AUTOMOTIVE einen weiteren Ausbau der Kapazit\u00e4ten in der Halle an. \u201eDer gesamte Umbau der Werkstatt erforderte nicht nur technische, sondern auch logistische und organisatorische H\u00f6chstleistungen\u201c unterstreicht der Teamleiter. \u201eZus\u00e4tzlich erweitern wir schrittweise das Team, bestehend aus Kfz-Mechaniker:innen und Kfz-Meister:innen sowie weiteren technischen Fachkr\u00e4ften. Im kommenden Jahr werden mindestens zehn weitere Personen eingestellt, um die Kapazit\u00e4t voll und ganz auszusch\u00f6pfen.<\/p>
\u201eBei der \u00dcbernahme von neuen Kundenprojekten, mit teilweise auch neuen Mitarbeitenden ist es essenziell, eine intensive Einarbeitung sicherzustellen, damit unser Team die Prozesse des Kunden versteht, deren Themen und auch die Entwicklungsarbeit, die dahintersteckt\u201c, wei\u00df Wieprich. Deshalb sei es besonders wichtig, die Mitarbeitenden mit den neuen Entwicklungstools und Messystemen des Kunden eingehend vertraut zu machen. \u201ePrototypen und neue Fahrzeuge sind mit stets viel innovativen Implementierungen ausgestattet, so dass kontinuierlich Wissen vermittelt werden muss\u201c, f\u00fcgt der Werkstatt-Experte hinzu.<\/p>
