Urban Air Mobility (UAM): MVI ist Partner der Initiative

© Stadt Ingolstadt / Roessle Die MVI gehört ab jetzt zu den offiziellen Projektpartnern der Initiative „Urban Air Mobility“ (UAM), der Stadt Ingolstadt. Die von der Europäischen Kommission mit Geldern unterstützte Initiative erforscht in praktischen Studien den Einsatz von Fluggeräten für die urbane Mobilität. München, 31.03.2020 – Dass „We’re Driving Digital Mobility“ nicht einfach nur ein Slogan der MVI Group ist, beweist auch die neu geschlossene Partnerschaft mit der Stadt Ingolstadt. Denn die MVI befasst sich in diesem Zuge nicht mit dem Verkehr auf der Straße, sondern mit der „dritten Dimension“, d.h. mit dem urbanen Luftverkehr als neue digitale Mobilitätsform. Die Pilotstadt Ingolstadt stellt hierzu Testfelder für verschiedene Formen der digitalen Mobilität bereit. Als mögliche Einsatzgebiete werden in verschiedenen Bereichen, die der Öffentlichkeit unmittelbar nützlich sind, Erprobungen stattfinden. Hierzu zählen etwa das Rettungswesen, für den Transport von Blutkonserven und Organen, im Bereich der öffentlichen Sicherheit oder auch Personenbeförderung. Tanja Wörle, UAM-Projektmanagerin der MVI, berichtet, wie die Partnerschaft entstanden ist: “Unser Ursprungsgedanke war, dass für Drohnen und sonstige mobile Fluggeräte Produktionsanlagen nötig sind. Homologationen müssen durchgeführt werden und natürlich sind innovative IT-Solutions gefordert. Leistungen, die wir als MVI aus einer Hand unseren Kunden bieten. Also haben wir die ersten Schritte unternommen, zu analysieren, wie wir unser Mobilitäts-Know-how aus der Automobilbranche intelligent und effektiv im Bereich Air Mobility einsetzen können.“ „Das Thema passt hervorragend in unser MVI-Leistungsportfolio”, ergänzt Oliver Kaufmann, einer der technischen Ansprechpartner der MVI für UAM. Da das Projekt noch am Anfang sei, könne die MVI ihre Kompetenz an innovativen Technologien wie Machine Learning (ML), Cloudcomputing und eben 5G ganzheitlich einbringen. Die MVI Group bewirbt sich mit innovativen Projektideen, die für verschiedene fachliche und technologische Anwendungsfälle Lösungen skizzieren. „Interessant für uns als MVI sind z.B. Aufrufe im Zusammenhang mit Datenaustausch mittels 5G-Mobilfunk, IT-Infrastruktur und Cloudlösungen sowie ML”, erklärt Kaufmann. Das Business Development Team der MVI generiert konkrete Ideen, die in Auswahlverfahren und Ausschreibungen eingereicht werden, um bei Projekten und Studien rund um die digitale Mobilität vorne dabei zu sein. Die Partnerschaft der MVI mit der UAM-Initiative der Stadt Ingolstadt für urbanen Luftverkehr unterstreicht das Know-how des mittelständischen Unternehmens, neue und innovative Trends und Technologien stets aufzuspüren und aktiv mitzugestalten.
