MVI establishes new IT hub in Greece – MVI Hellas IKE
The MVI Group is now also active in Greece. At the end of March, MVI Hellas IKE was founded in Thessaloniki as a branch office of MVI SOLVE-IT. Under the management of Christian Hirsch, Greek-born Kyriakos Kardogeros heads the subsidiary. Emphasis is placed on software development services for vehicle connectivity, e-mobility and process digitalization.
A new location in Greece has been planned for some time, as the country has developed into an up-and-coming tech scene. Due to numerous internationally recognized universities, government reforms and economic incentives, the Greek technology industry has rapidly picked up speed and established itself as an attractive location for IT companies. These reasons have reinforced MVI’s decision to capitalize on the enormous potential to establish an IT center of excellence in Thessaloniki.
“The goal is to generate a portfolio of IT services, from agile software and cloud development to Big Data, blockchain and artificial intelligence,” explains Kardogeros, who has worked for MVI SOLVE-IT in Munich as an IT project manager for many years. “These topics are anchored in all current projects,” says Kardogeros.
To meet the increasing order situation, we are always looking for highly motivated and committed colleagues to strengthen our team and help us shape the future of mobility”, emphasizes the new branch manager. By the end of 2022, the current core team is expected to grow significantly.
“We are pleased to add a new international site to the global MVI Group network. Thessaloniki is a vibrant city with great prospects and talents, and we are looking forward to be part of this growing tech scene.”
